The Auto Scroll command automatically scrolls a web page or a specific scrollable element. Use it to load dynamically generated content, including infinite-scroll and lazy-loaded content, before extracting data.

Scroll target

  • Scroll target: Choose whether to scroll the entire page or a specific element.
    • Window: Scrolls the entire browser page. Use this when content loads at the bottom of the page as you scroll.
    • Element: Scrolls a specific container. Use this when part of the page, such as a div with overflow, has its own scrolling behavior.

Element selection

These settings are visible only when Scroll target is set to Element. These settings control how the scroll element is located and what happens when it cannot be found:
  • When missing: Determines what happens when the selected scroll element is not found.
    • Fail: Fails the command and reports an error.
    • Warn: Logs a warning, but the Agent continues running.
    • Ignore: Silently ignores the missing element.
  • When hidden or disabled: Determines what happens when the scroll element exists but is hidden or disabled.
    • Select: Selects the element even if it is hidden or disabled.
    • Ignore: Ignores the hidden or disabled element.
  • Selected scroll element: Shows a read-only preview of the currently selected scroll element.

Scroll options

  • Max scrolls (0 = unlimited): Sets the maximum number of scroll iterations. Set it to 0 to keep scrolling until the command reaches the end of the page or element.
  • Scroll pixels (0 = full page): Sets the number of pixels to scroll per iteration. Set it to 0 to scroll the full visible height of the page or element each time.
  • Delay between scrolls (ms): Sets the delay between iterations so AJAX or other dynamic content has time to load. A typical value is 100–500 ms, depending on the site’s loading speed.
