# Parquet

> Export extracted data to a Parquet file with optional timestamp and retention settings.

The Parquet command exports data to a Parquet file. Parquet is a columnar storage format optimized for analytical workloads. Located under **Export** in the command palette.

## Parquet export settings

* **Timestamp:** Appends a timestamp to the exported Parquet file name when selected. This option is cleared by default.
* **Retain:** Prevents the exported file from being automatically deleted. This option is cleared by default, so the file is deleted unless you enable it.
