# JSON

> Export extracted data to a structured JSON file with optional timestamp and retention settings.

The JSON command exports data to a structured JSON file. Located under **Export** in the command palette.

## JSON export settings

* **Timestamp:** Adds a timestamp to the exported JSON file when selected. This option is cleared by default.
* **Retain:** Prevents the exported file from being automatically deleted. This option is cleared by default, so the file is deleted unless you enable it.
