# Excel

> Export extracted data to an Excel file with configurable separator, timestamp, and retention settings.

The Excel command exports data to an Excel file, providing a structured format for storing and sharing data. Located under **Export** in the command palette.

## Excel export settings

* **Value Separator:** Specifies the character that separates values in the exported file. The default is a comma, but you can choose another separator.
* **Timestamp:** Adds a timestamp to the exported Excel file when selected. This option is cleared by default.
* **Retain:** Prevents the exported file from being automatically deleted. This option is selected by default, so the file is retained unless you disable it.
